A Dream for the Next Generation

In 1998 Gospelink made its first connections between American donors and Zambian preachers. This would be the beginning of the growing network that would connect Christians from across oceans and borders for the sake of the Gospel.

In 2005, preparations for the school continued with the construction of the first campus building and the development of the course curriculum. Then in 2009, the first sponsored students began taking courses from International Bible College of Zambia which became Ambassador International University (AIU) in 2017.

As this network began to develop, some of the early Zambian pastors began to request more in-depth theological training. This sparked the dream of creating a school to train the next generation of spiritual leaders of Africa. Through prayer and God’s provision, the land was secured for a college in rural Zambia — approximately 40 miles from Lusaka, the capital.

The Next Generation of Spiritual Leaders

AIU was founded with the mission of biblically training the next generation of African spiritual leaders. Every aspect of campus life focuses on the principles of God’s Word. The young Christian men selected for this program are trained in theology and other practical courses. For many of our students, if not for AIU, the pursuit of this type of education would be impossible, which is why AIU provides work scholarships for our students. This model provides for the student’s education while creating a sense of ownership in their school and education and allows the college to run on a minimal budget.

Frank S.

Alumni | Class of 2020
FROM ZAMBIA

I realized that I cannot be a good teacher without being a learner. I started learning in order to gain more knowledge to better equip others,

A 2020 graduate, Frank is a pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Solwezi, North-western Zambia, and is married to Eliza. Pastor Frank looks forward to seeing God change lives of many people through the knowledge acquired at AIU, to the glory of God’s name.

Emmanuel C.

Class of 2025
FROM MALAWI

I am grateful to be here. I am learning a lot of things… I have been able to learn about salvation, church leadership, and Bible interpretation, among other things.

After graduation, Emmanuel plans to go back to his home church and work alongside his father. Emmanuel’s desire is that God’s truth will continue to be revealed to him so that he can teach others on the basis of God’s truth.

Martin M.

Alumni | Class of 2021
FROM ZAMBIA

This is something I really wanted … I have learned a lot being at AIU. I have been shaped and equipped, and I am ready to venture into ministry.

Martin plans to be heavily involved in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting through his home church. Martin’s desire is to see God use him effectively — that he will be a light to many people and see them changed for Jesus Christ. It is his desire to see the hopeless find hope in Jesus Christ.

Every Class Needs Sponsors

Over the years the Lord has done magnificent work through AIU, but none of it would be possible without the support of our faithful sponsors. We do not take lightly this sacrifice to give hard-earned money for the benefit of someone else. We think it is pretty great! Below are photos of the class of 2026.
